An outstanding antique bust, made from plaster and glazed with a creamy white colour, this is a real statement piece, it has such a great look as the glaze has had many splits on firing, mostly to the rear and upper head, it’s got some crazing to, and usually on fine pottery I wouldn’t want these things but on this piece it really makes it, it’s a huge bust for indoors, previously it’s had some felt pieces stuck to the rear so that I can go on an expensive table etc, I could also see this on a column too with that downward look, it’s a version of “Homer” the Greek philosopher, like I said it’s quite a statement piece, your eyes get drawn straight to it as you enter, the size is 19” high x 12 wide x 12 deep, a heavy piece too, ready to display and enjoy.
