About Us
We are a team of two Martin and Gina and we started in Antiques a number of years ago. With a shared passion for history and finding unusual items in the East Anglia region and beyond, we started selling antique and vintage china and ceramics via Etsy. After a number of years and three shops we expanded to general antiques. In particular we search for the both the 'beautiful and usable'. Our next step has been to unite under the brand of the 'Unique Antique Shop'. Where we strive to find wonderful items that we hope you will love to own.
Our Values
So who are we? Martin developed a passion from a long standing career in the building and roofing industry. Where much of his work involved restoration of period properties. Gina (me) has had a long career in Education and I have thrown myself into some of the sides of the business such as logistics! I can get a parcel to all corners of the world! The website and social media. We have learnt that antiques are no longer the realm of the antique shop. We do enjoy face to face and often have our products at local antique fairs. But also enjoy the creativity of online antiques.
We value the history, love to research items. Passionate about saving and repurposing and ensuring wonderful items end up with another life.
Our Packaging
One of the important aspects of our approach is to reuse and repurpose. We strive to use recycled packaging materials. So in particular boxes and bubble wrap where we can. We also try to minimise plastic tape where possible. Its not always possible but we do try to use paper based tape as much as possible.
