A great English 20th century oil on glass picture, this particular one has a sail steamer ship, under sail and steam at night, named the” Normandie” 1885, the ship also known as “ville de New York” but was named Normandie just before launch in 1883
The ship was a ship that started out with sails and ended up a fast steam ship that was competing against the White star line to do the Atlantic crossings to New York around the time of the titanic disaster, a great piece that has a nice waxed wooden frame, the piece has a great look and is in food condition, to the rear it has backing paper with a metal wire hanging , and is ready to go
