A beautiful hand painted vase lamp conversion

An outstanding English antique vase lamp conversion, a beautiful piece, very well made, first half of the 20th century, this is quite unique and an interesting lamp conversion, we have researched the writing to the underside and have found references to the company mentioned, but these are a famous brass foundry in Birmingham, England, they ran from the late 19th century, in the early twentieth century they brought out their “swan brand” and that is what is mentioned here on the bottom, when you look up the “Bulpitt” foundry, you can see they only made brass or metal lamps, so it’s quite possible this vase was given to the Bulpitt foundry to make a conversion kit, the vase itself has a detailed hand painted cobalt blue, Art Nouveau type design, yet I also think it looks like a Dutch style artwork , as does the quality shade, the fine brass ormolu type base is finely detailed and has a central “Woolf” or dog type design and to the vase top is an ornate rim top that’s slightly flared, the lamp has a good long lead that is a new twist with vintage look, the whole piece is in good all round vintage condition too, it’s also a great size at just under 28” inc shade, a great vintage or antique lamp ready to enjoy
